Season's Starting - Loving Me Some Baseball!

There's something about going to Arizona to catch Spring Training that gets me excited to be able to watch a lot more baseball.  Nothing like the warm weather - and my Peoria Chiefs tickets came in the mail on Friday.  I'm not sure how much of Red Sox / Yankees I'll be able to stomach on ESPN tonight, but I'll likely at least have it on in the background.  Tomorrow's the day that things really get going, followed by our booster club hosting a "Meet the Chiefs" dinner Tuesday and a Chiefs exhibition game versus Bradley University on Wednesday before they hit the road.

To celebrate the new season, I read The Bullpen Chronicles by Dirk Hayhurst pretty well cover to cover on Friday.  A phenomenal, funny, inspiring story that just puts things into perspective.  *Loved* it and am hoping he'll continue to write for Baseball America this season.
